one more to go!

Ahhh only one more exam to go, plus a paper, plus my bachelor's essay...and then I'm done!  And on Saturday I will be an official college grad.  This is so scary/amazing!

up too late

so thanks to a crazy sleep schedule lately (thank you, busy week) I am awake at 2:14 am.  I really would like to go to sleep!  I slept for like 4 hours this afternoon, though, so that's probably why I'm still wired.  Oops!!!!!  Anyway, I'm taking this opportunity to post pics on fb that I haven't posted.  This includes some pictures dating from high school.  I wish I was better about posting!

I bought my WEDDING DRESS!!!!

Today, I finally made the decision as to what dress I will be wearing in my wedding to Christopher!  I am so excited about it, I really like it and think it is fab.  Sarah Black at Belle Couture Bridal was so helpful throughout my decision-making process!  She is an amazing person to work with and soo friendly!  I am so happy with the decision I made! :)  Now I have to look for shoes!  Yesssss

more time!

Loving Needtobreathe's song More Time - because that is exactly what I need right now!  So many things to do before I graduate!!  I wish there was more time in the day.  I need to keep my focus instead of looking at fabric online.  This habit is a problem for various reasons, including: a) I have no time to do this! b) I do not own a sewing machine (but wish I did!) c) I do not have a lot of money to purchase said fabric and d) my bachelor's essay is due in one month! Yikes!  But, since I've already looked and found some incredibly cute fabric that I will probably buy once I actually have money, time, and a sewing machine, I'll post them!  Enjoy!

I am so pumped.  The ups tracking says they are in charleston at this moment, and I keep thinking I hear the ups guy driving down my street!  Soo excited for them to get here!!

happy st. pat's!

I loveeee st. patrick's day!  Green is definitely one of my favorite colors (second only to purple!) and I just love the day.  Could be the wee bit of Irish heritage I've got under my belt...my name is Erin, which is basically another name for Ireland.

Christopher and I also happen to be registering for a lot of green stuff for our new home.  Green bath towels, green bath mats, green plates, green mugs, green bowls, green oven mitts, green aprons!  We love the green!  Here's a green bathroom from this old house that I just happen to love:
It's very St. Patrick's day and very Kappa Delta!! :)

Wishing everyone a wonderful March 17th!

i'm all grown up!

Yesterday, I bought a suit!  Yes, a big-girl suit for the (sort-of) big-girl jobs I've been applying for!  Since I've decided to take a couple of years off between college and medical school, I've had to apply for jobs...I honestly didn't think I would have to do this for years (due to many more years of schooling...) but I have to earn some money while I'm taking time off.  Obviously.  So I applied for all these jobs and then decided it was time to buy a suit.  And the limited was having a 40% off sale, so that helped fuel the purchase.  It is a classic black pinstripe (not what I really wanted) but it does look good on me, and it was actually the first one I tried on! Amazing how that happens.  Now if it would only be just as easy to find my freaking wedding dress!!

The wedding is 7 months away! I am getting excited, but super nervous, since I still have NOT found my dress.  Or bridesmaid dresses.  Or a photographer.  Or a florist.  Or...lots of stuff!  I feel like I have so much to do! Trying not to stress.

so I've been looking for flats recently...

and am soo in love with these from Lanvin and Repetto.

Unfortunately, my budget at this time does not allow me to take the jump and make the purchase, so I'm thinking I'm going to have to go with something a little more inexpensive like J.crew.  Which is fine too, but one day I hope to purchase some of these classic flats!!  Plus, they are an investment.  Something I will have for my whole life.  The cost per wear would be very low.  Maybe they will be a present to myself when I graduate from medical school...
