new show: {Project Accessory}

image via Lifetime.

I have been an avid Project Runway fan since {almost} the beginning.  Now that Lifetime is coming out with their new show Project Accessory, I am super excited to see how this one will go.  I'm particularly interested since I make jewelry myself - and a lot of the designers for season 1 seem to be jewelry designers.  Could be something I'd be interested in auditioning for...but we'll see how the first {few} seasons go.  Is anyone else looking forward to this?  Tune in this Thursday after the finale of Project Runway!

{countdown} missoni for target

Is anyone else anxiously awaiting the launch of Missoni's line for Target on September 13?!?!  I have been waiting forrrrreeeeevvvveeerrrr (it seems like!).  Today we are only 20 days away!  Here are a few of my fave picks:

I especially love the glasses and shaker in the last picture.  For the full lookbook, go here.

crewcuts picks. for myself.

I'm so amazed with kids' clothes these days.  Especially crewcuts.  I wish my parents had dressed me this cute.  I'm pretty sure they dressed me up as a boy mostly.  And I didn't have any hair til I was like two years old, so I'm sure that didn't help either.  I digress.  I've always loved crewcuts accessories for myself. Girls' headbands are especially cute and fabulous because they are always a little over-the-top.  Which I like.  Crewcuts goes up to a kids' size 14, so some things I can still fit into.  (Yay)  Here are some of my fave picks from the girls (and boys!) section!  Love those tutus!  Very Carrie Bradshaw.

...annnd I do own that glitter belt.  And am contemplating buying the flower headband.

Does anyone else shop crewcuts??!  Do tell!

kate spade wallet

So I just ordered this wallet from Kate Spade the other day - on sale with an additional 15% off! - and I cannot wait for it to arrive.  I have been wanting a Kate Spade wallet for so so long, and I am glad to finally be getting a leather wallet that will hold up over time.  I'd rather pay a little more for a wallet that will last me ten years then $20 for one that will last me one year.  Right? Makes sense!

J.Crew wishlist.

all images via J.Crew.

A lot of these items are essentials.  But I'm still working on building my wardrobe.  I especially love the chunky gold bracelet.  I don't wear bracelets very often, but would like to start wearing more of them.

Speaking of essentials, I love Nina Garcia's book The One Hundred.  It is a guide to the 100 basic pieces of clothing/accessories every woman should own {such as: black cashmere turtleneck, Missoni knit, LBD, lingere, animal print, a Pucci piece, converse all stars}.  I've got a list saved in my phone of some of the essentials I still need.  That way, when I go shopping I can {hopefully} stay on track and purchase things that will build my wardrobe.

Happy Friday!

{sidenote: Since Missoni is doing a line for Target this fall, I will be crossing that one off my list very soon! Super excited about that.}

bedroom style board

So it looks like I'll be moving at the end of October (or sooner).  I'll be able to decorate my bedroom only, so I've already started planning what I'm going to do with it.  Here is my style board:

I'm really excited to actually get to paint the room since I haven't been able to paint in my apartment now!

painted beer bottle from the other night...

So here is the beer bottle I painted like the one I found on Pinterest via PS I made this:

Not bad for my first try, but again, it was just a practice round.  I'm not sure if you can see from the photo, but the spray paint looks crinkly in some places.  Does anyone know what that is from?  I think maybe I sprayed too close?  I'll post a diy when I do my next piece! Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

my jewelry

Just wanted to do a quick post about my jewelry that I have for sale on Etsy.  I've pretty much been making jewelry since I was a kid - and the product has grown more and more sophisticated as I've matured.  To say the least.  My biggest first-time seller was hemp jewelry - I remember having a sale at the end of my street in like 6th grade.  Fun times.  Anyway, here are some of my favorite pieces from my Etsy shop.

Love making jewelry and love being creative! :)

need a new watch...

I've been needing a new watch for quite a while now.  Like for the past three years.  I think it is time I start seriously looking for a watch that will last me the rest of my life.  Like one that will be timeless.  Pun intended.  Here are some of the styles I am considering.  Obviously some of these watches are not in my price range (helllooo Tiffany & co)!

I'm thinking something like the Michael Kors gold-tone watch (#4) would be best for an investment piece.  I think it will always be in style.  BUT I do love the Fossil rectangular ceramic watch (#2) for the moment.  And of course, if I had $9,000 to spend on a watch, I'd immediately go for #1 because it is just beautiful!  For now though, I'm going to keep looking (and saving!)...I don't want to make a decision too hastily.  Any suggestions for a timeless timepiece?  What style do you see lasting forever??
