diy {gold elephants}

During my HomeGoods, Goodwill, Michael's (etc...) shopping excursions, I've been looking for some sort of animal figurine (preferably a pig or elephant) that I could paint gold and use as decoration on my book shelf.  I spotted these cardboard elephants while at Michael's ($0.99 each!) and decided to give them a try.

Now here's what they look like:

I need to style them up, but for now, I like them!  What do you think??

  1. "I got this as a backdrop for my dining area.

    The good:
    This is not a photo painting, but a real painting on canvas.
    Huge value since even the 60*30 painting that I got came at a competitive price.
    Frame is good and light weight
    Canvas is well wrapped around the frame.
    Looks exactly as described in the photos

    The bad:
    It is just my personal taste - this art work does not evoke any emotion in me. Yes, it does fill the space. Yes, it is as described. However, to me it is just a space filler for the interim.

    Overall - this definitely is a good value for money art work provided you like it." art work painting on canvas
